Confindustria Emilia-Romagna has created a company CERR-Confindustria Emilia-Romagna Ricerca in order to assist companies on matters of research, innovation and technology transfer
CERR works alongside companies in processes of innovation and the development of personalized programmes for the resolution of technological and organizational challenges. It promotes collaboration, publicises new ideas and generates knowledge with a view to Open Innovation, looking towards Europe as its point of reference.
CERR is a Centre for innovation and technology transfer accredited by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the hub of the Advanced Technology Network. It operates in 16 regional technology districts, acting as a link between companies, researchers and institutions.
It offers an integrated portfolio of services and initiatives, providing assistance over the whole process of innovation ‒ from the assessment and positioning of ideas, to strategic consultancy about the best strategies for obtaining grant awards and research partners ‒ constructing personalized programmes with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of the companies:
- Research projects, innovation and technology transfer: the positioning, definition and development of collaborative multi-partner e multi-disciplinary projects with a view to Business-to- Business, Business-to- Research, Research-to- Business; assistance throughout the whole life cycle of the project; the development of activities relating to national and European funding.
- Tutorship/Coaching: the definition of strategies for the development or acquisition of knowledge, intellectual property rights, technology, identifying specific technological and/or organizational needs; support in the development of new products, processes and services that can generate new business opportunities; market analysis and feasibility studies; the definition or redefinition of business models; experimental approaches to training.
- Networking: the definition of methods of collaborative innovation, the development of networks of companies for innovation, research and development, the benchmarking of technological contexts for the identification of effective B2B, B2R & R2B relations; the definition of collaborative processes and legal assistance.
